Airplanes banned from flying over Lionel Messi's house - Details

Many people are unaware that planes are forbiden from flying over the area Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi's house is located and a new report has explained why.

Back in March 2018, Spanish airline, Vueling entered into an unplanned altercation with Football star Lionel Messi's fans when the airline's president Javier Sánchez-Prieto said in an interview that planes weren't allowed to fly over Messi's House in EL Prat Barcelona, and because of that, El Prat's airport wouldn't develop or expand.

'I’ll show Oshiomhole that Mosquito can bite' – Governor Obaseki

On Friday, November 8th, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State fired back at the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, over the “mosquito buzz” comment he made weeks ago.

Oshiomhole had referred to the political upheaval between him and Obaseki, as a “buzzing mosquito around the ear.”

26-year-old Covenant University Graduate killed by Gateman and Neighbour


26-year-old Financial Analyst and ex-president of Nigerian Economics Students Association in Covenant University, Segun Afolabi has reportedly been murdered. 

The deceased was killed at his residence in Gbagada on Monday November 4, by his gateman he helped financially and a neighbour who showed interest in the car he bought about a week ago.

Dangote to invest over N53bn in rice, sugar in Nasarawa

The Dangote Group of Companies is set to invest over N53 billion in the production of rice and sugar in Nasarawa State.
The President of the company, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, disclosed this on Thursday in Lafia during an assessment tour of the investment potential in the state.
Dangote, who was represented by Mr Abdullahi Sule, the company’s Group Managing Director in charge of sugar production, said the company had set the machinery in motion to invest in Obi, Awe and Doma local government areas of the state.
He said that the company would establish a rice mill and give rice and sugarcane outgrowers about 10,000 hectares and seed cane to enhance production.

No caretaker in PDP constitution – Sheriff

The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party continued on Wednesday as its factional National Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, said there was no room for a caretaker committee for the party at the national level.
He said because of this, it was wrong for the Board of Trustees of the party to make reference to the caretaker committee in its handling of the crisis within the party.
Just as Sheriff spoke in Abuja, the Senator representing Ogun North-East, Prince Buruji Kashamu, warned that the barrage of court cases instituted against the party might last till 2019.
He said the leaders of the party must do everything to put an end to the crisis before political activities gathered momentum ahead of the 2019 general elections.

19-year-old bags six months imprisonment for burglary

An Osogbo Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 19-year-old man, David Tunde Aderogba, to six months imprisonment for burglary.
The Magistrate, Halimatu Bashiru, sentenced him after he pleaded guilty to the charge of burglary.
Bashiru said the court had no option than to sentence the convict to prison without an option of fine.

Court sentences teenager to 10 days community service for stealing

A Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Thursday sentenced a 19-year-old man, Biodun Lukeman, to 10 days community service for stealing N61,000.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Ipaye Nwachukwu, in her judgment, ordered that the convict must put two hours daily for 10 days in serving the sentence.
